Did you know that eating alkaline foods will prevent disease, slow the aging process and increase your energy levels?

Put simply, our blood is slightly alkaline, with a normal pH level of between 7.35 and 7.45, however many of us would tend to be more acidic because of our lifestyles – too much coffee, processed foods, too much meat, alcohol, sugar, salt, working long hours, lack of sleep and stress (emotional or physical)!

If your body is overly acidic you will feel like crap, you will be lacking energy, you will put on weight and constantly be sick. Worse case you will end up in hospital with serious issues.

Disease thrives in an acidic environment. If your body is too acidic you are likely to have other nasties such as bacteria, yeast and fungus growing in your body, which is one of the biggest causes of bloating, lack of energy, wind/gas, feeling tired, sluggish digestive system and weight gain.

So what can you do about it? You need to get your body back into a more alkaline state. There are tests you can do, but if you focus on eating 70% alkaline foods and 30% acidic foods (ideally 80/20!) this will be a good start to getting your body back to a healthier state. Drink at least 2L of water, reduce your stress and get enough sleep! Simple right?!
